Women of Faith

Women’s Outreach

Who are women of FAITH?

      Women like you and me,

MY LIFE,  God pursued me, came looking for me, has He come looking for you?

I named my story,  MY Sweet Jesus

Because before Jesus, MY life wasn’t very sweet

GOD CALLED AND I RESPONDED,  I wanted and needed Jesus in my life

Oh taste and see that the Lord is good

I will lead thee and guide thee with my eye

I’m GOING TO READ OUT OF THE Holy Bible a portion of scripture in Romans

Romans 1:16-25

16For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. 18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever

Their was no giving of thanks to God, no giving honor to God(He’s a Great King)

People living selfish lives, are you that kind of person?

I NEEDED A HEART CHANGE, I NEEDED TO BE, WASHED AND CLEANSED FROM MY SINS.

GOD LOOKS ON THE HEART

I NEEDED SOMEONE TO LOVE ME WITH A PURE LOVE   God IS love

We live in a secular world where everything is about what you eat, what you drink what you waer what you look like, and pleasure,

BUT GOD SAYS LIFE IS MORE THEN THIS 1 PETER 3:10-15

For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: 11Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. 12For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. 13And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? 14But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; 15But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

1 PETER 3:4-5

4But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. 5

Abigail intercedes for Nabal

David wasn’t in the mood when He sent out to get help from Nable, His men were hungry and tird, He needed help, He was ready to wipe Nabal from the face of the earth and to take all that He had. Nevertheless, he stopped to hear what Abigail had to say. If he had ignored her, he would have been guilty of taking vengeance into his own hands. No matter how right we think we are, we must always be careful to stop and listen to others. The extra time and effort can save us pain and trouble in the long run.

Some men don't deserve their wives. Abigail was probably the best woman Nabal could afford, and he got even more than he bargained for when he arranged to marry her. She was beautiful and more suited than he was to manage his wealth. But Nabal took this wife for granted.

In spite of his shortcomings, Nabal's household did what they could to keep him out of trouble. This loyalty must have been inspired by Abigail. Although her culture and her husband placed a low value on her, she made the most of her skills and opportunities. David was impressed with her abilities, and when Nabal died, he married her.

Abigail was an effective counselor to both of the men in her life, working hard to prevent them from making rash moves. By her swift action and skillful negotiation, she kept David from taking vengeance upon Nabal. She saw the big picture and left plenty of room for God to get involved.

Do you, like Abigail, look beyond the present crisis to the big picture? Do you use your skills to promote peace? Are you loyal without being blind? What challenge or responsibility do you face today that needs a person under God's control?

Strengths and accomplishments:

  • Sensible and capable
  • A persuasive speaker, able to see beyond herself

Lessons from her life:

  • Life's tough situations can bring out the best in people
  • One does not need a prestigious title to play a significant role

Vital statistics:

  • Where: Carmel
  • Occupation: Homemaker
  • Relatives: First husband: Nabal. Second husband: David. Son: Kileab (Daniel)
  • Contemporaries: Saul, Michal, Ahinoam

Key verses: "David said to Abigail, `Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, who has sent you today to meet me. May you be blessed for your good judgment and for keeping me from bloodshed this day and from avenging myself with my own hands' " (1Samuel 25:32).

Because Nabal was drunk, Abigail waited until morning to tell him what she had done. Abigail knew that Nabal, in his drunkenness, may not have understood her or may have reacted foolishly. When discussing difficult matters with people, especially family members, timing is everything. Ask God for wisdom to know the best time for confrontation and for bringing up touchy subjects.

Look at the reward that Abigail got for being a wise  woman, Making wise choices.  I’m sure she knew Davids God because she didn’t want David to sin against Him, and she knew that He was going to be King,

Yet she wasn’t afraid to confront Him and give Him sound advice.

God is a reward of those who diligently seek them.  He tells us to faint not.

Maybe you have never came, to rely on anybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, You only trusting in yourself!

THAT’S NOT GOOD. But I’m telling you, you can trust in God, in the Lord Jesus Christ,

HE PROVED IT ALREADY BY DYING ON THE CROSS. He took a bullet for you.

YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY RIGHT NOW TO GIVE YOUR LIFE TO CHRIST.

I want to trust you with my life, I can’t trust in myself because I’m not like Abigail, I don’t have good judgment, I can’t, I’m biased, and that’s sin.

HE STANDS AT THE DOOR OF YOUR HEART, ASKING?

DO YOU WANT ME TO COME IN, I WILL IF YOU WILL LET ME!
