What We Believe

The Message We Share is Simple

We seek to point others to Jesus Christ. He is the ideal of love and acceptance, and He is

the Head of the Church. Jesus Christ is the answer to life’s problems; He meets our needs.

Mission Valley Christian Fellowship is a family that you can call your own, People who you

can worship with, grow with and serve the Lord with.

WE BELIEVE

that there is ONE LIVING AND TRUE GOD, eternally existing in three persons,

the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God

created all, upholds all and governs all.

Jeremiah 10:10a, “But the Lord is the true God; He is the living God and

the everlasting King.”

WE BELIEVE

that the SCRIPTURES of the Old and New Testament are the WORD of God,

fully inspired without error in the original manuscripts, and they are the infallible rule of

faith and practice.

2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for

doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of

God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

WE BELIEVE

in GOD THE FATHER, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom,

power, and love; the He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears

and answers prayer; and He saves from sin and death all who come to Him.

Ephesians 4:4-6, “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one

hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all,

who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

WE BELIEVE

in the UNIVERSAL CHURCH, the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the

Head and all regenerated persons are members.

WE BELIEVE

in the LAYING ON OF HANDS for the baptism of the Holly Spirit, for ordination

of pastors, elders and deacons, for the receiving of the “gifts” of the Spirit and for healing.

Acts 8:17, “Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.”

WE BELIEVE

in JESUS CHRIST, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We

believe in His virgin birth and His sinless life. We believe in His miracles and teachings, His

substituting atoning death, His bodily resurrection and His ascension into Heaven. We

believe in His perpetual intercession for His people and His personal and visible return to

earth.

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that

whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

WE BELIEVE

BELIEVE in the HOLY SPIRIT, who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the

world of sin, righteousness and judgement, to regenerate, sanctify and empower for

ministry all who believe in Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus

Christ and the He is an abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide. We believe in the present

ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all Biblical gifts of the Spirit.

John 14:17, ” the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither

sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

WE BELIEVE

that ALL MEN ARE SINNERS by nature and choice, and are therefore under

condemnation. We believe that God regenerates, by the Holy Spirit, those who repent of

their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord; that Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking believer,

with the Holy Spirit, with power for service, after regeneration.

Romans 3:23, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

1 John 1:9, “ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and

to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

WE BELIEVE

in the PERSONAL, VISIBLE RETURN OF CHRIST to the earth and the

establishment of His Kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, the final judgement and the

eternal blessing of righteous and endless suffering of the wicked.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a

shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in

Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together

with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with

the Lord. “
